An important component of our band program is The Marching Blackshirts of Waukesha South.

The Marching Blackshirts have an intense season each fall. In addition to performances at selected home football games, providing the National Anthem and half-time shows, we perform at a number of venues throughout Wisconsin and Illinois.

Our first performance is usually at South's very own Marchfest, which in 2009, marked the 20th anniversary of the show! South welcomes marching bands at Marchfest from throughout the state of Wisconsin. In 2009, South participated in UW-Madison's Band Day (with some 4,000 other band students!), and competed with 19 other bands in Warrens Wisconsin at the Annual Cranfest Parade, and then also traveled to Chicago's Navy Pier for a performance on the Grand Staircase.

The Marching Blackshirts of Waukesha South can also be seen in the Waukesha Christmas Parade and in the Waukesha Memorial Day Parade.
