Australia Trip Video! (New)
To commemorate South's one year Australian anniversary, a video has been produced of our trip to the land down under. The video includes photographs and video clips set to our music that we recorded during our concert at, and with, Engadine High School in Sydney. The 46 minute video is provided free on YouTube
Jazz Night Club (May 7th, 7:30pm)
Waukesha South's annual Jazz Night in South's Cafeteria will be Monday, May 7th at 7:30pm! We will feature the South Jazz Band and Jazz Choir. Admission is $3.00 for students and $5.00 for adults. Beverages and snacks will be served. If anyone could please help set up, serve refreshments, collect money at the door or clean up, contact Kim Bischel at 262-896-9145
Bandquet Sign Up! (Due May 16th)
All Band members including Color Guard are invited to our annual "band-quet" and sign up is needed so we can order the right amount of food. See The Form
June 1st, Hat Parade, at Horning/Banting (New)
South Band students will perform in a fun "Hat Parade" at Horning and Banting on June 1st. It begins at 1pm at Horning. Students are encouraged to wear outrageous hats. The Blackshirt Band will not be wearing uniforms for band but rather their apparel from other activities such as sports and clubs to help promote that students can do both band and other things. Our Band will leave South at 12:15pm that day.

Berres Bothers Fundraising (Update!)
Berres Bothers, www.berresbrothers.com (one of our recent fundraisers) has agreed to continue on line fundraising for South's Band! They will donate 20% back to us for any order placed using our band's code (FRWSB). Note, online orders do require a $4 shipping fee (unless you order at least $75). If you enjoy these products and gifts, this is a great way to help raise funds for the Band's General Account (to help us with instrument repairs, uniforms, music, etc). Reminder, the Band will only get this 20% credit if you use our code when you check out: FRWSB

Market Day Fundraiser (Reminder)
We partner with Whittier Elementary School (down the hill from South) on "Market Day" fundraising each month. More information is located in the Fundraising link at the left, or Click Here. This is an easy way to raise money for your child's qualified Music Fees or Music Trip Fees, while shopping for food online (it's delivered to Whittier where you will pick it up on assigned days).

2011 Marchfest - a SUCCESS! Congratulations on South's 22nd Annual Marchfest, held Sept 24, 2011. Thank you to each of the Bands who participated in the 2011 Marchfest. Weather was good for most of the night, but 2 of our performances got pretty wet, and we thank them for giving it their all despite the rain. We also thank the hundreds of people in the audience for their attendance and for cheering each of the bands on. The night concluded with an excellent exhibition performance by the University of Wisconsin LaCrosse “Screaming Eagles Marching Band.” For placements, Click Here

Band Booster Meetings
Our Blackshirt Band Booster Club will be meeting at 7pm at South High School in the Band Room on the 3rd Wednesday of every month starting in September. There is always lots of good information presented and those who come can listen to the ideas and concerns of our Band Director and others, and also get a chance to present their own suggestions. We encourage all band parents to attend! For more information on how you can get involved, email Jeanne Wagner or Steve Schmitt, our Co-Presidents of our Booster Club.

Subscribe to Email for South's Band Programs
Click HERE and follow the directions to register your email account with Waukesha South's Band Programs -- all Band Programs and Band Classes use this web site and this email registration to help keep you informed! We will post information and news items here on this web site, and from time to time, we may need to email you (Students and Parents), but unless you Subscribe, we can't do that.
Support the 'All School Boosters'
The more we support the All School Boosters, the better chance we have of band funding. We need at least 50% membership of band parents. Become a member by purchasing an activity pass. A Booster Club sign-up sheet was included the South Spotlight for back-to-school. The All School Boosters will also have a table at registration, Southfest and the first few football games. By joining you are getting discounted access to most of South’s sporting events, as well as an opportunity to qualify for a senior scholarship for your student.
